At Lenz Instruments, we are reaching the final stage of the MARVEL project, an initiative funded by the European Union through the INNOWWIDE programme, which promotes the internationalisation of European SMEs by means of market feasibility studies in strategic countries.
The project aimed to assess the introduction of the LCM-500, our portable meat quality analyzer, into the Chinese market. To this end, we worked together with our local partner Keyan Yixin (Beijing) on the technological adaptation of the device to the color and marbling standards used in China, on market analysis and the identification of the main entry barriers, on legal and cultural verification to ensure freedom to operate and the protection of intellectual property, as well as on the preparation of fully localized promotional and dissemination materials in Chinese.
Thanks to this joint effort, we have confirmed the technical and commercial viability of our solution, validated its innovative nature in the Chinese market, and defined a clear roadmap for its introduction with customers and end users. With these advances, MARVEL has enabled us to strengthen our internationalization strategy and lay the foundations to bring the LCM-500 not only to China, but also to other international markets where meat quality and standardization are key.
