New Multisensor for In-Line Inspection of Incineration Residues


Within the framework of the ATRIC 4.0 project, LENZ INSTRUMENTS has developed an innovative multisensor system for the inspection of incineration slags. The multisensor is based on the combination of various custom-developed spectroscopic sensors and the application of advanced algorithms for processing spectral information using deep learning techniques.

The developed technology provides an effective solution for the in-line monitoring of quality parameters in incineration slags and residues, delivering real-time information on the streams regarding moisture content, presence of unburned material, chemical composition, mineralogical composition, and traces of contaminant metals.

Currently, the multisensor system has been validated at the laboratory scale, and further development and optimization are planned with the ultimate goal of bringing this solution to the market.

The ATRIC 4.0 project has received funding from the CDTI, which is supported by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and financed by the European Union through the guidelines included in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – NextGenerationE.
